Hidden under the crown.
A velcro-sealed compartment, sewn into the top of the cap. Sized for credit cards, folded cash, hotel keycards, or a slim emergency note. Out of sight, but a hand-reach away.
Disguised in plain sight.
Looks like an ordinary black baseball cap. No external zips, no telltale bulges, no "tactical" branding. The whole strategy depends on it being unremarkable — and it is.
Closed with velcro.
Strong enough that nothing falls out when you're walking, running, or wearing it on a flight. Opens with one hand when you need access. No fiddly zips, no fussing.
Worn beyond travel.
Festivals where you don't want a wallet. Beach days where pockets aren't an option. Runs where you need a card for coffee on the way home. A cap that earns its place far beyond the airport.
Pickpockets know where to look.
Back pocket. Side pocket. Outer compartment of the daypack. A jacket draped over a café chair. These are the places thieves check first — because they're the places everyone keeps their valuables.
The Tap Cap turns that habit against them. A velcro-sealed compartment, sewn inside the crown of an ordinary-looking baseball cap. Cards, cash, hotel keys. Hidden in the one place no one ever thinks to look.
You wear it on your head. Visible to you, invisible to everyone else.
"Hands off. Heads up."
Three details. That outsmart thieves.
Sewn into the crown.
A discreet compartment hidden inside the top of the cap. Sized for cards, folded notes, and small keys. Sealed with velcro that holds, but opens in one motion.
On your head.
Pickpockets check pockets, bags, jackets. They don't check hats. Your valuables stay accessible to you — and completely invisible to everyone else.
Looks like a cap.
From the outside, it's just a clean black baseball cap with a subtle AIR / KITTO logo. No bulky pockets, no obvious gadgets. The whole point is that no one notices.
Things people ask us.
Where exactly is the pocket?
Hidden inside the crown of the cap — the top section, above your head when worn. It's a flat compartment sewn into the lining, sealed with a strip of velcro. Invisible from the outside.
What fits inside?
2–3 credit/debit cards, folded banknotes, a hotel keycard, or a small key (think bike lock or hostel locker). Not designed for bulky items like a phone or large keyring.
Will the pocket open while I'm wearing it?
No. The velcro is strong enough to stay sealed through normal wear — walking, running, flights, even hiking. It opens deliberately with a one-handed pull when you need access.
One size for all?
Yes. The Tap Cap has an adjustable metal clip closure at the back, fitting head sizes roughly 55–62 cm. Unisex by design.
How do I clean it?
Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent. We don't recommend machine washing — it can damage the hidden compartment's structure and the velcro over time.
Shipping?
Free UK shipping on orders over £49. Most orders ship within 24 hours.
What about returns?
30-day returns on unworn items. If the Tap Cap doesn't earn its place in your travel kit, send it back and we'll refund you in full.
